So, perhaps you enter the items individually, but there's a display option to just display unique IMDB Id#s in the collection listing with multiples as a "stack" of some sort. One would think they'd all have the same IMDB Id#, so collapsing by that would make sense. I'm not saying this should be the rule, but it'd be nice as a display option, perhaps to just view one's collection by film/tv titles, and not objects/products, but still have the ability to see what formats I have it in.
#LINK FLIXSTER TO VUDU MOVIE#
I might have a DVD, a Blu-ray and a Digital Copy (iTunes or UV), that came with the Blu-ray of a single movie title, but I don't necessarily always need to see 3 copies of the title in my collection. One thought on the poll option of "VUDU/Flixster/iTunes options added with blu/dvd/hd" It'd be a nice option to be able to have one listing for a title, and just multi-select the formats formats one has it in. Who is to say that "Ultraviolet" won't be called something different in the future or even align/merge with iTunes, or Disney or vice-versa. Disney at one time had another service not to long ago, "Disney Digtal Copy" and then changed it to the current service noted above. Keep it simple and allow for corporate changes and alliances.
#LINK FLIXSTER TO VUDU CODE#
I would tend to agree with mickc1407, that the designation could be "Digital Copy" which would then leave sub-categories such as "Ultraviolet" or "iTunes" or "Flixster" or "Disney" to the individual users in the personal data section. All the Money in the World Digital Copy Download Code Ultra Violet UV VUDU iTunes SD. For some Disney produced movies they are found on both iTunes and Disney, but for other movies produced by other studios but distributed by Disney, they are only found on iTunes or Ultraviolet. And now, you can also link your Vudu account to Movies Anywhere, a new service that brings together your movie library from Vudu. Effective today you will no longer be able to redeem digital codes on Flixster for playback of videos in the U.S. And of course there is iTunes which covers most of the same studios as Ultraviolet, and many lesser studios as well. Today Flixster Video contacted subscribers to notify them that they plan to shut down the service. Disney has rolled out their own format "Disney Movies Anywhere", for Disney produced and distributed movies. "Ultraviolet" covers most of the major movie studios and digital streaming services (Flixster, Vudu, Sony, Paramount, Universal, etc.). The digital movie service map is a spiderweb that seems to be ever changing. This is for US based services, not sure what other countries have, although I think it is the same worldwide, as it is based on movie studio participation. There are currently two (or three) prevailing digital formats to consider.
